I object to designating as ”pro-life” those who oppose a woman`s right to abortion. It puts her in the position of being against life when in fact she may be seeking to preserve it.

Take, for example, a poor family with two children. Another mouth to feed, in their view, would threaten the health and well-being of the existing family as well as the newborn child. By choosing to abort a pregnancy, is that family anti- life?

I believe the struggle over the abortion issue is between ”pro-choice”

and ”anti-choice.”
