Lt. William Reynolds has resigned as assistant disaster coordinator in Elmhurst and will become head of Naperville`s Emergency Services and Disaster Agency on Sept. 18.
Reynolds, 49, will retire Sept. 8 from the Elmhurst Fire Department after 25 years as a full-time firefighter. He career started with a summer job with the department in 1957.
He became the Elmhurst`s assistant disaster coordinator in 1970.
