The Cook County state`s attorney`s office has promised ”significant”
developments Monday regarding Gary Dotson, leading to speculation that prosecutors may drop charges in the case. Dotson`s rape conviction was commuted in 1985 after Cathleen Crowell Webb recanted testimony identifying him as the man who raped her. But Dotson asked for a new trial in an effort to totally clear himself.
