EAC Industries Inc.`s board has told its financial adviser, Northern Trust Co., to begin efforts to sell the company and its subsidiaries. EAC, a Chicago-based manufacturing company serving the hardware industry and point-of-purchase advertising market, has for some time been signaling it would put itself on the block.
