Outfield moves: Ivan Calderon, his tender left shoulder better after a day`s rest, was back in right field Wednesday. Calderon jarred the shoulder diving for a ball Tuesday. Lance Johnson returned to left, and Dave Gallagher was back in center. Tuesday, Gallagher was in right and Johnson in center. Manager Jeff Torborg said he toyed with giving Johnson, who made a costly error Tuesday, another shot in the middle. ”We thought about it,” said Torborg. ”I was impressed with Dave in right field last night. But I like him in center field. That might change, too, but I feel good with him out there.” – Drees does it again: Left-hander Tom Drees threw his third no-hitter of the season Wednesday night as Triple-A Vancouver beat Las Vegas 5-0 in the first of two games at Vancouver. Drees faced 22 hitters in the seven-inning no-hitter.

– Judgment call: Ozzie Guillen was disturbed enough about being given an error by the official scorer Tuesday night to call in a complaint to the press box during the game. ”I will, because nobody else is going to do it,”

Guillen said. ”I don`t care about the error. I`m not worried about my stats. I just worry about the inconsistency. This is supposed to be a clean game.”

Torborg agreed with Guillen on the call. Press box consensus: Error all the way.

– Har-old! Har-old! The Texas Rangers, with Harold Baines, come to town for four games starting Thursday night. ”Harold`s going to get his hits no matter who pitches to him,” Torborg said. But all hands know it will be an unusual experience. ”It`ll be awfully strange,” said Daryl Boston. ”It`ll be stranger to him than it will to us.”

– Wilson hurting: Royals center-fielder Willie Wilson, who left Tuesday`s game with pain in his lower back and upper hip, was back in Kansas City Wednesday being examined by the club doctor. He`s expected to miss at least a couple of games.
