Molex Inc., the Lisle-based connector manufacturer, acquired an 85 percent controlling interest in Ulti Mate Inc. of Orange, Calif., for an undisclosed sum. Ulti Mate, in business since 1980, manufactures a line of micro-miniature and nano-miniature connectors for the military/aerospace market and for use in computer applications. The firm has 50 employees.
