In regard to Jan Hoffman`s opinion in the Voice of the people that ironworkers and other blue-collar construction workers deserve credit for their hard work, she is correct.

However, she states, ”When a pretty woman walks by, what normal man wouldn`t throw a line?” To which I must respond: What normal man would intentionally put a woman in an uncomfortable, awkward position by basis of her looks? Catcalls and whistles are, by and large, unwelcome and unprovoked, and are not to be mistaken for compliments.
