Oswiecim, formerly known as Auschwitz, is in Poland, not Israel.

The contrived controversy concerning the nuns of the Carmelite convent has only been a part of a greater slander on the Polish nation and the Roman Catholic Church.

People of at least a dozen nationalities, all non-Jewish, perished at Auschwitz, one of the most horrific episodes in our century. I personally agree with the remarks of Jozef Cardinal Glemp.

It is now time for all to ”forgive and forget” the past, and this includes the myriad misguided and ill-advised ”protesters” from New York and elsewhere.
