Recently, Rep. Gus Savage was accused of sexually harassing a young woman while visiting a foreign country. The Tribune engaged in a lengthy attack on Savage`s character, and I must say I agreed with what was said about him.
Now the House has passed a bill to ban flag-burning, a bill that violates the 1st Amendment. In small print, I learned that Gus Savage was the solitary Illinois Democrat who voted against the bill. I have changed my mind about his character.
