Chicago has another new magazine. It is called ”RADIO-Chicago,” costs $3.50, is 64 pages long and seeks, as publisher Donna Walters says, ”to open up the world of radio and show you what goes on behind the scenes and the voices you hear every day.”

First impression: not bad.

A capable bunch of freelancers does profiles of WBEZ`s Dick Buckley, Loyola University`s station and other local lights. Predictably, Jonathon Brandmeier is the cover boy and there are a few silly errors. But there are also daily schedules for a great many local stations and a lot of potential for providing valuable information. For interested parties, ”RADIO-Chicago” has offices at 332 S. Michigan Ave. (939-5480).
