Congress and the Bush administration want to have their cake and eat it, too.
With much fanfare our leaders in Washington have announced that America is going to fight a war against the Colombian drug cartels. But our leaders want Colombians (soldiers, judges, journalists) to do the fighting and dying. If our leaders want to fight a war, they should have the courage to send American soldiers to fight and die. If they don`t have the courage to put American soldiers` lives on the line, why should the Colombians risk theirs?
