Teams around the National Basketball Association clearly remember all the bows the Bulls were taking on draft day for their three No. 1 choices and are throwing a little bit back in their faces.

After the Bulls defeated Golden State Saturday, the Warriors` public relations department pointed out in a postgame note that Warriors` rookies Tim Hardaway (No. 14) and Sarunas Marciulionis (free agent) combined for 19 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals in 47 minutes compared to 7 points, 6 rebounds, 0 assists and 1 steal for Stacey King (No. 6) and B.J. Armstrong

(No. 18) in 17 minutes.

So here`s how the Bulls` rookies did against fellow draft picks on the trip: Against Phoenix, Armstrong and King combined for 4 points and 1 rebounds in 15 minutes while Kenny Battle (No. 27) didn`t play.

Against Portland, King and Armstrong had 13 points and 6 rebounds in 36 minutes while Byron Irvin (No. 22) and Cliff Robinson (No. 36) had 23 points and 9 rebounds in 26 minutes.

Against Seattle, King and Armstrong had 18 points and 9 rebounds in 32 minutes while Dana Barros (No. 16) and Shawn Kemp (No. 17) had 13 points and 0 rebounds in 34 minutes.

Against Utah, King and Amrstrong had 5 points and 3 rebounds in 28 minutes while Blue Edwards (No. 21) had 15 points and 5 rebounds in 21 minutes.

And in Sacramento, Pervis Ellison (No. 1) had 6 points and 2 rebounds in 13 minutes, while King and Armstrong had 8 points and 9 rebounds in 25 minutes.

– Former Notre Dame star, David Rivers, recently signed by the Clippers, is playing with his third team in less than two seasons.

Asked about his release by the expansion Timberwolves, Rivers said: ”I didn`t fit in. (Coach Bill Musselman) wants to have the guard run the offense, pass the ball and play defense. That`s not me at all. I`m a little bit more creative.”

– Ron Harper, who scored 21 points and had 15 rebounds in his Cippers` debut last week, is finding everything exaggerated here. A lifelong Ohio native, Harper went looking for housing and said: ”I knew it would be bad, but, wow. Man, I need a new contract quick.”
