What a great idea-businesses donating 1 percent of their profits: ”1 percent solution seeking to give peace a chance.” But why give the money for promoting international peace?
Why not start in our own city? We can`t begin to solve the world`s problems when we can`t solve our city`s problems. A campaign directed toward helping the needy and homeless of Chicago is more appropriate. We have many fund drives during the holidays but a ”1 percent for Chicago`s needy” could generate funds throughout the year.
