I heard that a 1 percent tax on restaurant meals to pay for a new Bears`
stadium is being considered. Well, I for one will not subsidize those jolly sport fans and help line the pockets of those already highly overpaid football players.
I will not patronize restaurants where such a tax is being instituted. We are being overtaxed as it is. If the Bears want a new stadium, let the Bears pay.
