It says a good deal-but none of it very good, we`re afraid-about America in the 1990s that Andrew Dice Clay, that self-proclaimed ”bad boy of comedy,” was able to sell out two consecutive shows last week at New York`s Madison Square Garden.
That`s no surprise. He sold out the Horizon for a November show. But what is rather alarming about the New York gig is that parts of those performances were filmed and will be part of a 20th-Century Fox film called ”Dice-The Movie.” Having seen this fellow perform, I find it increasingly disturbing that his abusive, degrading and unprintable material continues to find an audience. What could 20th-Century Fox be thinking, scheduling ”Dice-The Movie” for a Christmas release?
