Sen. Alan Dixon now wants to spend $100 million to get those S&L thieves. Sen. Dixon can start his campaign to get the guilty parties by calling for the resignation of his associates in the Senate known as the ”Keating Five.” That best-known S&L fraud artist, Charles Keating of Lincoln S&L, publicly stated his contributions to these Keating Five senators were to benefit Keating.
If Dixon can`t call for these resignations, then he can at least ask for a special prosecutor to immediately go after these senators.
Dixon would be the first to say that the $22 million spent to get Ollie North was worth it. It is also worth it to rid ourselves of people like Cranston of California, Glenn of Ohio, et al.
