Occupation: Actor.
Birthday: Nov 12, 1959.
Birthplace: Queens, New York City.
Current home: Venice Beach, Calif.
Marital status: Married to Signy Coleman for one year.
Child: Siena Sophia, almost a year old.
Car: A 1989 blue BMW 325i.
Working on: ”Lucky/Chances,” which airs Oct. 7, 8 and 9 on NBC-TV. In it, I age from 25 to 64.
The last good movies I saw were: ”Jean de Florette” and ”Manon of the Spring.”
The book I`ve been recommending lately is: ”Prince of Tides,” by Pat Conroy.
Favorite performer: Robert De Niro. He does the definitive performance. After ”Raging Bull,” there`s no reason for anyone else to ever play Jake La Motta again.
Prized possession: My art collection.
Personal hero: Michelangelo. I`m blown away by the amount of work he produced. These days it seems like people have a hard time just getting out of bed.
If I just had more time, I`d: Go back to college. I just finished one year. I`d like to study philosophy, art, languages.
The worst part of my job is: Being so close to getting a role and then losing it for reasons beyond your control.
My fantasy is: Bringing peace to the world.
If I could change one thing about myself: It would be my temper. I`m not as explosive as I was as a teenager, but it`s still bad.
The worst advice my father ever gave me: ”If someone starts a fight with you, finish it.” It`s not good advice to follow when you`re an adult, especially when you`re in my position.
I knew I was a grownup when I: Took control of my life. My teenage years were wild. During my 20s I realized I was heading in a destructive direction, and I turned myself around.
My most irrational act: When I was 21, I kicked a police officer in the head. I was brought up on assault charges. They were eventually thrown out of court, but they cost me a lot of money in lawyers` fees.
If I couldn`t be a performer: I`d still be doing something related to the arts. I`m also a musician and a photographer.
Three words that best describe me: Curious, studious and passionate.
