In his Oct. 31 column, Clarence Page says that the most response that people should give to Shahrazad Ali`s book ”The Blackman`s Guide to Understanding the Blackwoman” is a good laugh-and he`s absolutely right.
Any woman, no matter what her race, should not let herself be degraded by letting a boy friend or husband slap her around for the sake of ”keeping her man.” That type of man does not need to be kept.
With the type of advice from her book it sounds as if a good ”open-handed slap across the mouth” is due Ali herself-coming from all women.
