John I. Shaw, 84, the recently retired owner of Shaw Investment Co., died Sunday, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; one daughter, Susan Hooe; three sons: John Jr., Arch, and Bruce; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mark Episcopal Church, Ridge Road, Barrington Hills.
