Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
A Dec. 9 article relates that a 10-year-old boy made a bomb and placed it, ready to go off, in a bathroom of a Los Angeles grammar school. A local police officer said the boy learned how to make the bomb by watching the TV show ”MacGyver.”
I have gone through chemistry and physics in high school and I have yet to understand how to duplicate an invention that was part of the show, let alone know the materials that were used.
Obviously, a bomb built with two rocket engines and a battery timer is not the creation of a normal 10-year-old. Instead of blaming the TV show, maybe the officials should enroll this boy in a college science class; you never know, he could become the next Einstein.
