Kane`s third album gets the job done, but just barely. There are a couple of can`t-miss hits (”Cause I Can Do It Right” and ”It`s Hard Being the Kane”) that burn with a James Brown-like intensity right down to the synthesized sax solos that will make you swear Maceo Parker has taken up playing the keyboards. But several of the other tracks are just a notch above filler with ”All of Me” and ”Put Your Weight on It,” featuring Barry White and Rudy Ray ”Dolemite” Moore, respectively, being two of the more embarrassing examples.
