Robert M. Powell, 62, past president of CNA Insurance Investor Services Inc., died Tuesday in the Norris Cancer Hospital in Los Angeles. Mr. Norris, a former Highland Park resident, helped develop CNA`s real estate investment trust, said his son, Jim. In 1966, Mr. Norris was president of the 52 Association of Chicago, providing entertainment to hospitalized military servicemen. Other survivors include his wife, Renee; a daughter, Kathy; two step-sons, Jimmy and Brad Sanders; a brother; and three grandchildren. Services were held in Los Angeles.
