Nature and new-age music have gone together ever since a synthesizer artist saw a waterfall and wrote a song about it. Now, Narada has combined 16 of its best-selling artists on this collection, with the profits supporting the Sierra Club, the National Audubon Society and the Wilderness Society. Each song is titled after a specific natural phenomenon, such as Ralf Illenberger`s ”Sahara Sunrise” or Richard Souther`s ”Return to Emerald Forest.”
Although the collection is not dissimilar to other nature-theme albums, it has been a resounding success on the new-age charts-as much because of its impressive roster of artists and charities as for the gentle music itself. A beautifully decorated 40-page booklet accompanies the compact disc.
