A 23-year-old Aurora man was arrested Monday for allegedly trying to steal $555 in jewelry from a local department store.
Edwin Molene Mulero, 1148 E. New York St., was charged with felony theft. He was being held Wednesday in Kane County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond, jail officials said.
Mulero allegedly reached over the counter at Arenkill`s Loan Bank, 11 N. Broadway, and took 17 rings and a gold chain. He was caught outside the store by the owner, according to police.
