It was. Pert Kelton created Alice in 1951 when the first Honeymooners skits were seen on DuMont`s ”Cavalcade of Stars.” Meadows took over in 1952 when Jack Gleason moved to CBS. She played Alice until 1957. Sheila MacRae was Alice from 1966-70.
