In the March 28 Voice column, Henry Jensen asks, ”Who`s CUB?”
The Citizens Utility Board appears to me to be an organization of leftist meddlers intent on crippling a reliable company, Commonwealth Edison, that provides a necessary service.
I have always questioned its motives; I fear that its successes might be ruinous to the utility company and its customers alike. I resent this
”consumer guardian`s” arrogation of others` right to speak, many of whom strongly disagree with its views, and I am especially resentful of its solicitations in public mailings.
I might also add that I don`t like paying higher costs for electricity, or for that matter, anything that I buy, but I am realistic.
