Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

When I took the guided tour of the Hoover Dam facility recently, the guide, a jovial old wisecracker, singled me out for a little good natured raillery.

He spotted my Cubs cap and, after stating the fact that I am a Commonwealth Edison customer, offered his sympathy and informed the group that I pay one of the highest electric rates in the country. At the end of the tour he took a parting shot as he was wishing us all a pleasant day. He said he hoped the ”gentleman from Illinois” could forget all about his electric bill, at least until he got home.
