Talking hands, definitely. Harpist Deborah Henson-Conant is like no other musician in her lively mix of jazzy melodies and tunes like ”California Calypso” that feature happy steel drums and lighthearted percussion. Her love of variety is especially obvious as Henson-Conant moves from the mild suspense of ”And Then He Kissed Me …” to the carefree ”Siana`s Dream: The Music Box.” Although she sounds dreamy on the opener, ”Into the Light,” the rest of this vivid collection proves that just because she plays a harp, she doesn`t have to sound like an angel.
