A village committee tentatively has approved annexation of the 50-acre English Valley Subdivision on the village`s north side.
The area immediately south of Dundee Road contains 190 single-family homes and two vacant lots.
The annexation would continue the village`s trend of filling in its northern border and eventually eliminating unincorporated areas in the township south of Dundee.
If the subdivision is annexed, it would be rezoned to the village`s equivalent of its current Cook County zoning classification. A public hearing on the rezoning is scheduled for Monday.
