Jury selection began Monday in the federal trial of Arizona businessman Robert Levine, charged with conspiracy in the 1989 murder of his brother and sister-in-law in their home in Munster, Ind.
Levine, 49, a Paradise Valley, Ariz., real estate developer, was indicted in January in a murder-for-hire scheme in which he allegedly planned and paid for the Nov. 9, 1989, slayings of Donald and Marsha Levine.
The couple`s son, Mark, 25, also was targeted for death, but survived a pistol-whipping, according to the indictment.
