The science of tracking animals will be the subject of a special program at 1:30 p.m. on June 22 at the Ryerson Conservation Area near Deerfield.
Phil Broder, an environmental educator for the Lake County Forest Preserve District, will lead the discussion.
”People always ask if they`re going to see animals in the forest, not realizing that most animals don`t want to be seen,” said Broder. ”But the animals leave tracks and other signs, and if you can read those, you can learn more about the animal than if you just see it standing still.”
