With regard to the May 29 article by Stephen Franklin, ”U.S. silent on Saudi oppression,” I can only express my amazement.
He writes that a ”sizable number of Saudis” are bitter and angry because the United States did not impose democracy and human rights on their country. If this ”sizable number” was a substantial majority (which it obviously is not), it would have created a democracy long ago. And the Arab-Israeli conflict would have been settled long ago; indeed, it never would have started.
