Mayor Betty Cheever of Downers Grove has been elected to represent Du Page County on the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission.
Cheever was chosen Saturday at the six-county organization`s meeting.
The group studies planning, water, drainage and other intergovernmental issues relating to Cook, Du Page, Lake, Will, McHenry and Kane Counties.
