A Lombard man was charged on July 4 with battery and attempting to disarm a police officer. Police said they found Sean P. Craft, 18, of 732 E. Berkshire Ave., lying on a sidewalk near St. Charles Road and Addison Street. Craft reportedly told two officers that he had been using cocaine and LSD, and then lunged toward one officer`s holstered weapon, police said.
