A man was arrested on two misdemeanor battery charges Tuesday night in the beating of two women, Elgin police said. Douglas A. Boyer, 28, of 559 St. John St., Elgin, allegedly punched and kicked two women, ages 23 and 26, at his home about 8 p.m. Neither of the women required medical treatment, police said. Boyer is scheduled to appear in Kane County Circuit Court Aug. 9.
