Mutual Benefit unit for sale: Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Co., which struck a deal to sell a profitable unit for $500 million, will try to sell another money-making line in its rehabilitation effort, a company spokeswoman said. Mutual Benefit, seized by New Jersey state regulators two weeks ago to avert a run on its cash, will try to sell a life insurance line that caters to large corporations, said spokeswoman Mary Ann Green.
