Bernie Lincicome is to be commended for telling Lyle Alzado`s story with such compassion and in such plain language (”Steroid message: Stop, look, listen,” July 28). The truth speaks for itself, of course; the harmful side- effects and adverse reactions to steroid use have been well documented.
We encourage parents, teachers, coaches and other adults to include steroids in their discussions with young people about alcohol and other drug abuse.
