People who lived in Europe during and after World War I and were helped by a U.S. famine-relief program are being sought for interviews by the makers of a documentary movie about that period.
The movie will be part of an exhibit at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library in West Branch, Iowa.
Before becoming the nation`s 31st president, Hoover chaired the American Relief Committee in 1914-15 and the Commission for Relief in Belgium from 1915-19. The two programs provided food to many European countries ravaged by the war.
Those who lived through those times in Europe should mail a brief written description of their experiences to Tom Walsh, executive director of the Hoover Presidential Library Association, P.O. Box 698, West Branch, Iowa 52358.
