Rookie forward Mark Randall could come away with some big statistics Saturday in the exhibition game in Kansas City, Mo. The statistics crew from the University of Kansas, Randall`s alma mater, volunteered to work the exhibition game between the Bulls and Timberwolves.
Randall also says he`s considering his policy of refusing one-on-one radio interviews with all stations but WGN. ”I have a contract with WGN,”
said Randall. ”So this is something I`m still trying to figure out.”
Try the Danish: Free-agent forward Chris Munk, from USC, is mulling over a proposal to play for Denmark`s national team. Munk`s father is from Denmark, and he has dual U.S.-Denmark citizenship.
”It`s an option,” he said. ”But I`m hoping I can have a few good games here and get a chance here or maybe be seen so another team will be interested.”
Munk, a 6-foot-9-inch, 225-pounder, played briefly with Utah last season before finishing the season in the CBA.
They`ll dig it: General Manager Jerry Krause says there probably will be groundbreaking this month for the Bulls` new practice facility, but it probably won`t be finished until June.
Foreign report: Krause said he talked this week to draftee Toni Kukoc, who is recuperating from a foot injury. Krause said Kukoc should be back on the court for his Italian team within a month. Krause also said Kukoc`s girlfriend escaped from war-torn Yugoslavia, but Kukoc`s parents remain in Split.
