A letter correctly and clearly addressed to me here in Warrenville was dated Sept. 4 and postmarked Sept. 5 in Nashville. The envelope indicated the letter had been in Chicago Sept. 17; on back of the envelope: Oak Lawn, Sept. 24, before making it to me on Sept. 26.

A call to the local post office boiled down to this: ”You were lucky to get the letter.”

Is this an indication of things to come when the post office becomes fully automated?
