Cargill ESOP: Giant agricultural conglomerate Cargill Inc., the nation`s largest privately held company, said its board approved selling up to 30 percent of the company to its employees through an employee stock ownership plan whose value could range from $400 million to more than $1 billion. ”Our proposed ESOP is in no way a step toward public ownership of Cargill,” said Vice Chairman William Pearce.
