Entertainer Rita Moreno brings her singing, comedy and dancing act to Skokie`s Centre East at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Moreno was born Rosa Delores Alverio in Puerto Rico and made her Broadway debut at age 8.
She won an Oscar in 1961 for her performance in ”West Side Story,” and in 1975, she became the only female performer to win a Tony Award, for her part in the Broadway hit ”The Ritz.”
A 30-year veteran of show business, she has also collected a Grammy Award and two Emmys for television roles.
