Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Although it saddened me to see the Tribune raise some of its prices, I understand why. I am sure you have to pay big names like (Gene) Siskel and

(Dave) Kehr an awful lot of money. Especially since their opinions are worthless bunk, for lack of a stronger smelling noun.

In the Dec. 13 Take Two section, Kehr just loves ”Veronique”

(subtitled, of course), that no one will see. Siskel, being the snob he is, uses words like ”woefully uneven” to describe ”Hook,” a movie I think most people will really like.

On the other hand, your high school kids are funny, articulate and much closer to mainstream Midwestern ideas of entertainment than these high-priced ”critics.” Fire the men, hire the kids. And when they start raving about some movie I have to read, fire them, too.
