Over the summer, when I heard that TriStar Pictures was making a movie about Peter Pan when he was grown up, I was really excited. But when I read the Tribune`s review, I was a little unsure of the quality of the film. But a friend saw ”Hook” and said I would like it, and that it was awesome.
So I finally went to see it. The next morning, I was leafing through the Tribune and found a lot of reviews of ”Hook.” But they all said things like ”miscast” and ”too artificial.” I completely disagree. Dustin Hoffman was perfect for Captain Hook, and Robin Williams as Peter Pan showed the movie veteran in one of his finest motion pictures. And with Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell, it was superb. But to top it off, Bob Hoskins was Smee, Captain Hook`s sidekick.
And then I found reviews saying it was ”too happy.” But with all the sad movies being released, we need something to lighten our spirits.
