F. Reynolds Blossom, 71, of River Forest, who spent 50 years with the Fred S. James Insurance Co. in Chicago and became the firm`s president, died Tuesday in West Suburban Hospital Medical Center, Oak Park. A Chicago native, Mr. Blossom graduated from Yale University. He was a naval air pilot during World War II and was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross eight times. Mr. Blossom is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two sons, Frank and Bill; four daughters, Amy Armstrong, Carol Amburgy, Mary Cronin and Joy Carpenter;
10 grandchildren; and a sister. A memorial service was held Saturday.
