So you say long plane trips leave you feeling trapped, cramped and sluggish?
Here`s a way to beat those in-flight doldrums. Northwest Airlines is treating its passengers to an exercise video geared for getting rid of some of those kinks before landing. It`s not exactly Cher or Jane strutting their stuff, but it`s five minutes of instruction in neck rolls, shoulder shrugs, toe tapping and the like, done while strapped in your upright seat with table tray locked in place.
”It`s called `Plane Aerobics,` and it`s shown to about 1 1/2 million passengers a month,” said Jim Faulkner, a Northwest spokesman. ”It`s a way to get passengers rejuvenated before landing.”
The video has been well received according to comment cards, Faulkner said, and flight attendants report lots of action in the seats as passengers shrug their way to airplane fitness.
You say you`d rather have another Bloody Mary? That can be arranged, too.
