So, 1991 wasn`t the best year for retail sales.

But right now may be one of the best for sales-as in bargains. With after-Christmas-sized markdowns starting way before the 25th to help get the cash register a-ringing, the real post-holiday sales are sure to be an opportunity for bargain-hunting thrill-seekers to really clean up.

To do our part in aiding the economy, as well as the shopper, we`ve once again compiled a listing of sales and bargains in and around Chicago.
