A weekend ”getaway” to downtown Chicago combined with cooking and wine lessons with Valentine`s Day in mind are included in the Sensuous Cooking Weekend offered Jan. 31 through Feb. 2 by the Park Hyatt Chicago.
Chef Charles Weber and pastry chef Don Holtzer of the hotel`s La Tour restaurant will give lessons on cooking with foods such as caviar, truffles, oysters and pastries. Guests will participate in the food preparation and receive recipes. A one-hour class on a ”Tour of the Vineyard” will be taught by sommelier Ricco Gushiken.
Also included are a Friday reception, Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday brunch. Price is $495 a couple, $295 for a single, or $75 for just the Saturday cooking lessons and meals. For more information, call 312-280-2222.
