Irene Lebin, 83, a radio personality who also did many commercials, died Wednesday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lebin, who graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York, appeared on every major radio station in local and network roles, including a major role in 1938 and 1939 in the ”Crimson Wizard” and ”The Return of Peter Quill.” Mrs. Lebin also did commercials on the original Amos and Andy Show. She is survived by her husband, Louis; a son, Scott; two daughters, Lynne Galvin and Gayl Swarat; five grandchildren; and a sister. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Weinstein Brothers Chapel, 1300 W. Devon Ave.
