Charles S. Edelmann, 86, a former banker, died Saturday in McAllister Nursing Home, Tinley Park. Mr. Edelmann, a resident of Oak Forest, was a banker at Northern Trust Company, 50 S. LaSalle St., for almost 50 years before retiring in 1970. He was a member and past-master of Kosmos Paramount Masonic Lodge No. 896 and past president of the Quarter Century Club of Northern Trust Co. Survivors include his wife, Bernice; a daughter, Cynthia Green; a son, Richard; and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Andrew`s United Methodist Church, 18850 Riegal Rd., Homewood.
